STAGECOACH/SOAPNATION DAY 1 (APRIL 24, 2010)

When I heard that ABC Daytime was apart of the Stagecoach music festival & that it was going to be held here in California I said to myself, finally they’re having something on the West coast for the fans that are here in California. I jumped at the chance to attend, I didn’t care how much the tickets were, I was going no matter what. I was so excited to meet Hillary B. Smith for the 1st time. I’ve waited for this moment for so long. I was thinking about this day since I purchased my ticket on January 29,2010. I couldn’t believe it when I received an email on March 25, 2010 from SOAPnet Events informing me that I had received a “VIP pass” to the meet & greet session for Sunday April 25, 2010. I was so excited and I couldn’t wait to tell all of my friends that I was going to get a chance to finally meet Hillary for the 1st time. My cousin was suppose to accompany me to the concert but she changed her mind at the last minute because I only got one pass for the VIP session. So, I asked Nikki (whom I met on facebook) back in Feb. if she was still interested in going to the concert because I didn’t want to go by myself I also informed her that I only one pass. She stated that she couldn’t go because she didn’t have the money to purchased a ticket. I told Nikki not to worry about purchasing a ticket because I had (2) extra tickets due to my cousin not wanting to go at the last minute. So Nikki accompanied me to the concert. When Nikki & I were standing in line for autographs, Hillary came out onto the stage, I screamed & Nikki said I screamed so loud her ear drums were ringing. Hillary is such a sweet & genuine lady. I told her: “I hope I look this great when I get to your age.” She replied, “Thank you.” I have been a fan of Hillary’s since she portrayed Margo on ATWT back in the 80’s. When she left ATWT, I stopped watching. When she joined the OLTL cast in 1992, I started watching & have been watching ever since. She is the best actress on daytime, IMO, no one comes close. It was such an honor for me to stand next to her and take a photo. I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep a wink for a long time. I am on cloud 1000 right now (if there is such a thing). I still have this big kool-aid smile on my face right now. I’ve been thanking God for the past 2 days for this amazing moment. I will hold this weekend in my heart for years to come.

STAGECOACH/SOAPNATION THE MEET & GREET DAY 2- (APRIL 25, 2010)

I was escorted to the back of the tent to meet & greet all the stars from the different soap operas (AMC, GH, OLTL). The 1st ones I saw were Hillary B. Smith & Bob Woods. Even though I had seen them just the day before I still was a little nervous. I asked the lady that was standing by the door if she could take my photos for me because my friend couldn’t get in because I only had one pass. The lady asked me what was my friends name I replied “Nicole” she then asked me where was she I replied “sitting outside on the couches” she then told me to go & get her and tell her to come back there. So I proceeded to the front to go and get Nicole (Nikki for short) to tell her to come in the back, she couldn’t believe it, she was asking me all these questions like “What are you doing?”, Where are we going? I couldn’t say anything because the lady told me not to tell anyone. When we got in the back the lady told Nikki that I told her that I only had one pass, I needed someone to take my photos so she let her back without a pass, then we were told to grab a tote bag off the table that coincided with our favorite show (inside the bad was a coffee mug & a blanket). Within a few minutes the meet & greet session started. At that point Nikki & I gave Hillary an early birthday present, she just loved it, we took photos with Hillary & Bob and all the other stars from the different shows. I would like send out a special thank you to Angela for her input on purchasing the gift for Hillary. Thank you so much Angie you’re a doll.…
